Our Beliefs
Mission Statement
"Therefore said he unto them, the harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth laborers into his harvest."
Luke 10:2
As we recognize God being our heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord; and the Holy Spirit being our Comforter, Helper and Teacher; our goal is to teach the Word of God- making it plain so the listeners can become hearers and doers of the Word-applying the Word of God to every area of their lives; thus becoming WHOLE; spirit, mind and body. Being a people given to much prayer, living our lives trusting God, walking in the Spirit and going forth as bright lights in a dark world.
Whole Laborers- Making a Difference in the Lives of HIS harvest.
Luke 10:2
Ephesians 4:11 and James 1:22
Galatians 5:16
2 Chronicles 7:14 and 1 Thessalonians 5:17
Matthew 5:14
What We Believe
The Bible
We believe that the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, is the inspired Word of God. We believe that the Bible is without error and provides a complete revelation of God's will for salvation and His will for Christian believers.
God
We believe that there is only one God. He created everything and exists eternally in three persons: God, the Father, God, the Son, and God, the Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is the true son of God and true man. He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and was born of the Virgin Mary. He died on the cross, according to scriptures, as the complete and final sacrifice for our sins. We further believe that He rose from the dead and is now seated on the right hand of the Father as our High Priest and Advocate.
The Holy Spirit
We believe that Holy Spirit, the Spirit of truth, is a divine person. He was sent to dwell within, guide, instruct and give power to the Christian believer for godly living and service. He was also sent to convince the world of sin, righteousness and judgment. We further believe that it is the will of God that each believer be filled with the Holy Spirit, with the evidence of speaking in tongues, and live a life holy and acceptable unto God.
Salvation
We believe that salvation involves the redemption of the whole man. We believe that salvation is offered freely to all who believe in Jesus Christ as their Lord and personal savior. We believe that that the blood Jesus shed for us on Calvary and His ressurrection, obtained the eternal redemption for every believer and that salvation does not exist separate from our personal faith in Jesus Christ.
Future Events
We believe that there will be a bodily resurrection of all the dead. The believer will rise to eternal joy with the Lord and the unbeliever will rise to judgment and everlasting conscious punishment.
The Church
We believe that the true Church consists of all individuals, who through belief in Jesus Christ as their Lord and personal Savior, have been renewed by the Holy Spirit and have been united together in the body of Christ of which Jesus Christ is the head.
Baptism and Communion
We believe that water baptism by immersion soon after accepting Christ as one's personal Savior, is a testimony of death to sin and resurrection to a new life. The Lord's Supper is a memorial service setting forth in sacred and symbolic manner the death of the Lord Jesus Christ; all true believers and only believers should share in it.
